Our Environmental Contribution

Image - Environmental Contribution

Loto-Québec’s commitment to social responsibility includes adopting numerous environmental initiatives over the years. The Corporation’s environmental initiatives include:

  • The utilization of 100% recycled papers for almost all the internal publications produced by Loto‑Québec, as well as for photocopiers and printers;
  • BOMA BESt's certification for 13 Loto‑Québec establishments, attesting to the buildings environmental performance;
  • Implementation of recycling programs, including compostable waste, at the Casino du Lac‑Leamy as well as at the Hilton Lac-Leamy hotel, and in the Québec City offices and the Québec City gaming hall;
  • The progressive withdrawal of bottled water from Loto Québec's establishments, representing a decrease of one million bottles a year;

New

The new reduced format of terminal-issued lottery tickets, now 22% to 45% shorter than before.

The ticket shown is for illustration purposes only.

1 - The number of draws, draw date and cost of the ticket are indicated in the upper right corner of the ticket.

2 - The control number is at the bottom of the ticket.

3 - "Loto-Québec" was removed as the "lotoquebec.com" address is printed on the blue side bands.

Finally, the telephone number to reach consumer service will be indicated only on the back of the ticket.

The new layout results in substantially smaller terminal lottery tickets that require approximately 22% to 45% less thermal paper and reduce related costs.
