Loto-Québec's economic contribution to the collectivity is considerable. The Corporation’s clientele, business partners and employees all benefit
from its economic contribution, as do the Government and provincial taxpayers
alike.

Dividends to the Québec Government
As at March 31, 2011, over $1.247 billion in dividends was paid out to the
Province. These funds are used to defray the costs of all the programs and services
in place for the benefit of the
population.

Lottery and bingo winners
During fiscal 2010-2011, the Corporation paid $934.6 million in
prizes to lottery and bingo winners. The lottery sector alone paid out $918.9 million in prizes to winners.
Network bingo, video lottery and bingo partners
Loto-Québec remits $349.5 million each year in the form of
commissions and other compensation to its near of partners: 8,700 lottery retailers,
2,000 video lottery site operators, and 70 bingo hall operators as at March 31, 2011.
Goods and services
During fiscal 2010-2011, the Corporation acquired goods and services worth a total of $310.9 million from companies conducting business in Québec.
Employee salaries and benefits
In 2010-2011, $408.6 million was disbursed for employee salaries and
benefits. In addition, the corporation's activities contribute significantly
to the Québec economy and provide over 24,500 direct and indirect jobs.
Taxes and special levies paid to government
In 2010-2011, $137.8 million was remitted in taxes and $106.7 million was remitted to the various levels of government in the form of taxes and special levies.
