Ongoing Initiatives
The Fondation Mise sur toi has a trial mandate to work with the appropriate parties to implement a series of additional prevention programs and measures to aid individuals experiencing problems associated with gaming.
As part of its awareness campaign, the Société des loteries vidéo du Québec, in partnership with the Fondation Mise sur toi, is supporting ongoing initiatives in seven target areas. For instance, the number of VLTs in Schefferville was reduced by 60%, from 10 to 4 terminals. Furthermore, operating hours were reduced by over 35%: in Schefferville and Cap-aux-Meules, terminals can be played from noon to midnight only.
