Loto-Québec Recognized for Excellence in Real Estate Management
Montréal, October 15, 2007 – Participating for the first time in the Pilier d’Or competition organized by the Association des gestionnaires de parcs immobiliers institutionnels (AGPI), Loto-Québec was honoured
with an award in the “Mérite de gestion” (Management) category. This prize is presented in recognition of an organization’s
efforts and excellence in five fundamental functions related to real estate management — financial performance, administrative
policies and procedures, customer service, innovation in its management, construction, operation or maintenance methods, and
personnel training programs.
In participating in the competition, Loto-Québec focused on its recent actions undertaken as part of the BOMA Go Green and Go Green Plus environmental certification programs, highlighting the innovative and distinctive nature of its building management methods.
In making its selection, the competition jury carefully evaluated the Corporation’s activities in all 10 of its real estate
holdings. Loto-Québec’s specific initiatives included the development of an action plan aimed at improving energy efficiency in its buildings, the adoption of a responsible
procurement policy, as well as the implementation of a series of new training and development programs for real estate management
personnel.
Open to all of its members, the AGPI’s competition is designed to underline the real estate management sector’s vital contribution
to the development of an organization’s vision and realization of its mission. Marking its fourth edition, the competition
was created to acknowledge managers of institutional buildings who succeed in minimizing costs while maximizing performance,
and whose actions demonstrate outstanding competence and imagination.
The actions carried out at all 10 of its real estate holdings, including at its multifunctional complex in Montréal, earned Loto-Québec its first Pilier d’Or Award.
