Loto-Québec Awarded Its Second "Pilier d’Or"
Montréal, October 3, 2008 – For the second year in a row, Loto-Québec is being honoured for its approach to sustainable development thanks to the efforts
of its Corporate Real Estate Department. Indeed, the Corporation received top prize in the Environment category at the 2008 edition of the "Pilier d’Or" competition organized by the Association des gestionnaires de parcs immobiliers
institutionnels (AGPI). In 2007, the Corporation was similarly honoured in the Mérite de gestion category.
The Environment prize highlights Loto-Québec’s initiatives with regard to environmental real estate management, training and awareness raising,
special projects and actions undertaken on a daily basis throughout its business and corporate units.
Designed to recognize AGPI members, the “Pilier d’Or” competition calls attention to the real estate sector’s fundamental
contribution to the development of an organization’s vision and fulfillment of its mission. The Environment category allows an institution to promote its efforts in environmental protection through a development plan and practices
that are both a function of its daily operations and an essential part of its renovation and construction projects.
