Loto-Québec Establishes an Association
with the Economuseum Society of Québec

Montréal, June 10, 2008 – On the occasion of the inauguration of the 32nd member of the Economuseum Society of Québec, a thermally moulded glass economuseum, Loto‑Québec is pleased to announce the recent conclusion of a partnership with the Society. By way of this agreement, the Corporation is associating with the Society’s Visibility Plan entitled Sustainable Development.

To span a period of two years, this partnership will allow for the production of 20 DVDs, each focused on a particular economuseum. The purpose of these DVDs is to promote the activities of the 20 establishments by showcasing the work of artisans and illustrating the traditional techniques used for the production of various articles. Ten DVDs have already been prepared for the 2007-2008 phase, with 10 others to follow in 2008-2009.

In line with its sustainable development initiative, Loto‑Québec is committed to supporting organizations and events that generate significant spin-offs within their respective milieus and that contribute to the development of the province’s tourism industry. This partnership represents a unique opportunity for the Corporation to contribute to enriching the talent of new artisans, to transmitting their knowledge and expertise, and to sharing their passion.
