When it first established La Collection, Loto-Québec set itself a dual mission: bring exposure to contemporary art and support Québec’s creative arts community. Beyond being a simple collection of artworks, La Collection Loto-Québec is an essential element of Loto-Québec’s social mission.

The corporation supports the arts and culture, not as an investor, but rather as a patron.

In 2009, Loto-Québec will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of its contemporary artwork acquisitions program, whose mission will continue to be to expose and raise the public profile of Québec’s creative talents throughout the province.
